Harmony of Point, Straight Line and Circle

The right motion of Taekwondo includes a point, a straight line and a circle in oneness to be a multi-dimensional action. Thus, in the ultimately complete motion, it is not that a point, a straight line and a circle are mixed in a thing but that each of them exists same in the oneness. Generally speaking, everything right cannot but be found to be same as everything beautiful, where we see that the beautufulness of Taekwondo is connected to its rightness.

Some people often say that the circular motions are smooth so they should be main always, but this is nothing more than a fragmentary judgement. The smoothness of a circle can capably be cut by the sharpness of a straight line, and nothing can be better than a point in the unrestrictedness. You can reach the right Taekwondo only when you are not attached to principles but free from them. Thus, it is the <Yae> of following Taekwondo to move in the harmony of the oneness of those three covering each of them, then the right motion of Taekwondo with oneness of a point, a straight line and a circle is not restricted in a plane, yet it is multi-dimensional. Therefore it is also most changeful.

Since a Taekwondo in the oneness harmonized of those three elements is the Taekwondo of following the ways of three essential materials, each of the three elements is another aspect of each essential materials. The hardness and the softness mediate and indwell them to turn them in boundlessly changeful modes. A part corresponds to the Sky because they resemble in the unrestricted boundlessness of the Sky, a circle corresponds to the earth because they resemble in the obiedience and the comprehensiveness of the Earth and a straight line to the Man because they resemble in the angularness of the man's will. Observing these three elements more closely the point, which is similar to the Sky, is unrestricted and nonshaped so that it exists everywhere, so it also resembles <Do>. Thus, the way of Sky, which keep everything in its proper position, seeks the proper position of everything at every time with the preciseness of the point. On the other hand the straight line is hard, speedy and sharp so that its hastyness resembles the man's will in its figure while the circle is soft yet firm at once so that it doesn't go against something. Therefore, the way of Earth is to harmonize yourself with the world as the two opposite parts of a circle are different yet harmonized widly in a circle at a time, and the way of Man is to maintain your intention in that harmony with the straightness of the beeline. When all of them make a perfect oneness the motion has not immense but rather most proper power.

In all of them the hardness and the softness are conncted and turn each other so that they make a thing. A straight line can be with a curve because a curve is by a straight line and a straight line is in a curve. Every motion being same each can turn to be straight or curved under the control of mind. At the same time, however, the straight line and the curve differ from each other, each of which comes from parts of circles, and they are same when the Taekwondo leading them controls both in one while they are different when the opponent running against Taekwondo gets controled over in different ways by cases.

Talking about the difference an actual straight line has the limited length with its ends while a circle is also finite yet has no end. The straight line which has its limit and ends leads temperate concise motions while the circle which is finite yet has no end leads lifelike motions that flows continuously. Thus, a straight movement, being speedy and sharp, can reach the opponent's body in an action despite of his interruption. The light goes fast because it follows the conciseness of a straight line. A punching motion in Taekwondo can be an example. A loose motion that does not keep itself in a straight line is slow and cannot avoid the opponent's defence.

On the other hand, a circle has in itself the principle of right motion in the harmony making different things into oneness. A part stands opposite to another in a circle yet they are finally united in a thing with no angle. Its motion does not oppose each to another yet promotes them together. The falling technique can be taken for an example of the circular motion. Its basic is a circular movement. In this, the earth and my body, composing this part and that part of a circle, do not hurt each other in the circular harmony. Also we can add another point to the falling technique that I mitigate the shock at my body hitting the ground with my hand or foot, based on the principle of replacing my life with mere a part of my body. Therefore, when I have my opponent in conflict with the world I control them in straight movements while when I mix myself in it between them I make my mmotion circular. All of the movements should be led around an unrestricted point.
