<<Division 6. How to Weapon>>

 Chapter 42.

There Be No Difference Between Weapon and Something Else

There are various kinds of martial arts in the world, and they use bare hands and feet sometimes and use swords and spears another times in fighting and controling over the opponent. Most common people distinguish each of them from another, but everyone can understand everything is same based on the same ultimate principles when he has learned some of them up to certain level. Therefore, while a sword differs from a spear and a hand from a foot, the motion of using each is same as another, and it is Taekwondo man's eye that sees their sameness over those distinctions and it is the Taekwondo man's mind that knows the sameness. Everything can be a weapon to this Taekwondo man, who makes use of any along one princple.

What is a weapon? Every tool is called a weapon if used in controling over the opponent. This weapon should always be just like a part of your body no matter whether it were the a hand or a foot that havs been given with your birth or a sword or a bat that you've acquired later. Being a part of your body the weapon should express the intention in your mind out to the world. Thus, whether or not something can be your weapon depends on whether or not you can expend your will freely through it.

Since a weapon in Taekwondo should be a part of his body a man training Taekwondo ought to strengthen muscles that unites the weapon with your body not only with the powerful strength but also with the swiftness so that he can accord his mind with the change of nature when he train his body. And when he handles a weapon that does not belong to his natural body he ought to strengthen his hand and particular skins and muscles so that the weapon and his body sharing a life are controled by a will.

In the training of Taekwondo your bones are hardened, your joints strengthened and you even get some callus on your hands and feet, all of which are formed because they are necessary for your body to express your will best. When you handle such a weapon as a sword or a spear you cannot but train yourself of using it over hands' blisters and muscleaches and this is unavoidable pains in the process of uniting the sword and the spear into your body. It is just like the pains you cannot avoid in the operation when another's internal organ is transplanted in your body. However, nothing can be desirable with its overflow, for it will ruin the balance of your whole to destruction even though it can strengthen your hands and feet with the weapon.

It is proper that a Taekwondo man should weaponize his whole through the training of weapons. The life can be a best weapon while it can also be a murderous weapon to itself at the same time. Only after you can handle and use a weapon like your own body from the training of Taekwondo the sword or the spear, which is not a part of your naturual body, then gets its life as if it moves for itself in your hands. If not, nothing can be used as a good weapon, and a thousand weapons cannot be as good as one that is unifed in your body.
